Rutherford Latham Wins First Leg of Rolex FEI World Cup Rolex Watch Blog by Melrose Jewelers USA’s #1 Online Rolex Retailer - 2010 watches

Rutherford Latham won the first leg of the Rolex FEI World Cup held in Oslo, Norway. Latham is now one step ahead of the other riders who are vying for a place in the Rolex FEI World Cup final in April 2009.

On October 12, 2008, Latham bested 15 riders to grab the win in Oslo. He was only 1.87 seconds faster than Thomas Velin, who placed second. Latham now has 20 points followed by Velin with 17, and Daniel Etter with 15.

The riders who garnered more than 10 points in the Rolex-sponsored competition are Maikel van der Vleuten with 13 points, William Funnell with 12 points, and Geir Gulliksen with 11 points.

The riders and their horses will now get ready for the second leg of the Rolex FEI World Cup slated for October 16 to October 19 in Helsinki, Finland. The other venues for the competition are Verona, Italy; Stuttgart, Germany; Geneva, Switzerland; London, UK; Mechelen, Belgium; Leipzig, Germany; Zurich, Switzerland; Bordeaux, France; Vigo, Spain; Goteborg, Sweden; and Hertogenbosch, Netherlands. The riders who qualify will get to compete in the Rolex FEI World Cup final held at the Thomas & Mack arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Hi all,

I have finally found the time to post some pics of my latest acquisition and first (again) Rolex. I got it a couple of weeks ago but have been too busy traveling to post them. Anyhow, I’m really not a photographer so kindly excuse the quality.

I’ll be traveling again for a month so I’m not sure if I’ll able to check in again soon, but this post has been long overdue. Just wanted to thank all the nice guys on the forum for helping me make the decision. The watch is superb and really classy and makes me wonder why I sold the first two I had. Though I own more Omegas now I can’t really compare quality; both are great.

New Rolex at AD is 9 Years Old! — Stay Away - WATCH TALK FORUMS - Watches Replicas

I have an offer for a new P series ladies Datejust from my AD. They obviously were unable to move it for a very long time. It is new never sold and has the warranty etc. Rolex authorized them to put it in their estate case and discount it 30% - but again with all rights and privileges of a new watch. I was considering it for my wife before I realized just how old it really is.

My thoughts:

MSRP has gone up more than 30% in that timeframe so it is actually higher than that very exact watch was when they placed it in the case — i.e. they paid WAY less than they would for a V serial number should I choose one of those.

The lubricants could have migrated or dried as the watch is almost old enough for it’s second service let alone the first.

Anyway, it’s an unusual situation or perhaps even opportunity. I thought I ask the hive. What do you think?
